The tale of Red Riding Hood did not end at the cabin. The girl may have escaped, but the wolf survived, thirsty for revenge.

Yet now, in the soot-choked streets of industrial age Europe, there is another hunter in the night — The Rotorgeist.

Blanchette is no more a child in a red riding cloak—she is a highly intelligent, sharp-witted and glamorous woman, haunted by a past she refuses to speak of, and stalked by a whispering dread she cannot outrun. When a string of grisly murders grips the city, each victim torn as though by fangs, fear coils tightly around every cobbled alley. And Blanchette is trapped in the middle of it all.

Rumors whisper of the wolf—a predator cloaked in charm and shadow, who slips behind locked doors and polite society with equal ease. But in a world of beggars and lords, factories and fog-lit ballrooms, villians wear silk as often as fur.

And then there is the Rotorgeist—a myth, a specter, a clockwork-whispered name that chills the marrow. No one knows what it is. No one knows how it chooses its prey. No one sees it coming. Yet its victims vanish, their bodies found days later…hollow, as though something unseen devoured them from within.

As the line between hunter and hunted blurs, Red and the wolf find themselves entangled in a deadly pursuit where trust is a gamble and truth seems illusory, or even too dangerous. Allies turn to predators, and every heartbeat may be the last.
